Pear, Blackcurrant & Violet — A Festive Recipe, Delicately Done

To highlight Day 18 of our Advent Calendar, we felt like sharing something simple, beautiful and genuinely delicious — a recipe that gives a subtle nod to the fragrance Pear, Blackcurrant & Violet, without overdoing it.

This fragrance is fruity, floral and lightly gourmand, with:

  • fresh, juicy top notes of pear, blackcurrant and Valencia orange

  • a delicate heart of jasmine petals, pink peony and violet

  • a soft base of sugar crystals and sandalwood

Luminous and never too sweet, with just the right touch of softness — exactly what we wanted to translate today in a simple, festive muffin recipe.

An easy recipe to make, perfect for a December brunch, an afternoon treat or a small dessert to share. Nothing complicated here — just soft, fruit-filled muffins with a festive touch that always feels right.

Homemade pear and blackcurrant muffins, golden and moist, served on a plate in a warm and festive December atmosphere.

Pear & Blackcurrant Muffins (with a subtle floral touch)

Prep time
15 minutes

Bake time
20–22 minutes

Yields
About 10–12 muffins

Ingredients

  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 tsp orange zest

  • 1 cup pear, diced (fresh or canned, well drained)

  • ½ cup blackcurrants (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 egg

  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil or melted butter

  • ½ cup milk

  • ¼ cup brewed jasmine tea, cooled

  • 1 tsp vanilla

Optional, but pretty:

  • A sprinkle of coarse sugar or pearl sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a muffin tin.

  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and orange zest.

  3. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, oil, milk, jasmine tea and vanilla.

  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined.

  5. Gently fold in the pear and blackcurrants.

  6. Divide the batter between the muffin cups and sprinkle with sugar if desired.

  7. Bake for 20–22 minutes, until lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

  8. Let cool slightly… and enjoy while still warm.

Why we love this recipe

  • Pear brings a juicy, comforting sweetness

  • Blackcurrant adds a brighter, fruit-forward note

  • The jasmine tea, very subtle, offers a gentle nod to the floral heart of the fragrance

  • The result stays light and balanced — perfect for December, without being overly sweet

Light your Pear, Blackcurrant & Violet candle, bake a batch of muffins, pour yourself a coffee or tea… and take the moment as it comes.
That’s the spirit of December: simple, beautiful, delicious things meant to be shared. 🍐🫐🌸
