Candle | Pine + Cedar Bark

• 2 oz candle: 15h – do not burn for more than 2 hours at a time (the container may overheat)
• 4 oz candle: 25h – do not burn for more than 3 hours at a time (ideally 2–3 hours per session)
• 8 oz candle: 50h – do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time (ideally 2–3 hours per session)

• before lighting, trim the wick to ¼ inch above the wax surface.
• place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface — out of reach of children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials.
• let the candle burn until the entire surface is melted.
• for small sizes (2 oz), place the candle on a coaster, as the small container can become very hot. It is also recommended not to burn them for more than 2 consecutive hours to prevent the container from overheating.
• trim the wick again before the next use.
• when the candle is finished, the remaining wax can be removed by placing the container in the freezer overnight or by pouring boiling water over the cooled wax, allowing it to float to the surface — you can then wash and reuse the container!

the 1 oz candles, being four times smaller than our regular 8 oz sizes, offer a naturally softer and more subtle diffusion. in addition, there is a safety limit to the amount of fragrance that can be added: beyond a certain percentage, the flame can become unstable and give off too much heat or soot. we therefore always stay below this threshold to ensure a healthy and safe product. for an optimal experience, we recommend placing your 2 oz candles in a smaller space (closed room, bathroom, entryway, etc.).

this is a common — and entirely legitimate — concern. headaches are often caused by overly concentrated fragrances or those containing harsh synthetic ingredients.

here are some possible solutions:

tunneling in the wax: melt the surface with a hairdryer or match (careful with the heat), then absorb the excess with a paper towel or level it with a blunt knife.

ash buildup: remove it before lighting the candle, otherwise the flame will be weak.

improperly trimmed wick: always trim the cotton wick to ¼ inch before each use to prevent premature extinguishing.
