SOJA&CO. was founded in Montreal in 2018

Laurence founded SOJA&CO. in October 2018 with a clear vision: to make the brand a Canadian reference in candles and wellness products. driven by a deep commitment to the environment and local economy, she transformed SOJA&CO. into much more than a woman-owned business. today, it’s a true family-run company, bringing together over 25 team members across various departments — all united by shared values and a passion for quality products

outgrowing my apartment, our small inventory finds a new home in my friend Geneviève’s basement. she takes over production and shipping while I focus on brand development

amber glass containers

our amber glass containers are made of 50% recycled glass and their lids are made from 55% recycled metal - and of course, everything is recyclable and reusable

100% natural soy wax

soy wax emits 90% less soot and doesn’t increase CO2 levels when burned. it’s also biodegradable, non-GMO, and derived from a renewable resource. soy wax is easily cleaned, making it easy to reuse the jars once the candle is finished

packaging boxes

our product boxes are made of 100% recycled and recyclable kraft cardboard and are produced by a local FSC certified supplier

plastic bottles

products that require a plastic bottle for safety reasons are equally recyclable and reusable

EXPÉDITION

electric deliveries

70% of our deliveries are made by electric trucks, helping to reduce our carbon footprint

expedition boxes

our shipping boxes are made of 80% recycled wood fibers and starch, making them of natural origin and biodegradable in addition to being recyclable and reusable indefinitely

protection materials

the kraft paper used to protect fragile products in packages is 100% recycled and recyclable

 

100% recyclable air cushions are used to replace less eco-friendly bubble wrap

 

our packaging pellets are compostable and biodegradable, made from renewable starch-based bioplastics derived from natural sources like corn and potatoes
