Incense holder too small

So pretty, this incense holder is really cute and don’t take a lot of place but it’s a little bit too small and the incense stick are too long and the ashes fall outside the holder. I found that if I cut the base of the incense stick to be extremely short I don’t have this problem anymore. I still really enjoy the design
